The concept of the Hôtels Littéraires
Four-star hotels dedicated to our favourite authors
The Société des Hôtels Littéraires expresses its love of books and literature throughout France. Founded by the book lover and collector Jacques Letertre, who wished to share his passion for his favourite writers, these four-star hotels invite you to go on a very special cultural journey. The hotels are ideally situated in the city centre; their décor pays tribute to each writer in many different artistic ways. Libraries of rare books are available to guests, as is an area featuring a collection, offering a unique stay in the world of a great author.
"Our aim in creating a literary hotel in Rouen that is entirely dedicated to Gustave Flaubert was to share our passion for the man and his work with our guests. It is a great pleasure for a team of book lovers to introduce as many people as possible to the joy of reading and invite them to think about the thousand things that make books a delightful companion for escape and reflection. We offer you a new journey of discovery, with a library of 500 volumes in more than twenty languages, original editions and a thousand little details, which we are convinced will fill you with enthusiasm for this prodigious writer."
Jacques Letertre, President of the Société des Hôtels Littéraires
